How writing a weekly newsletter clarifies your thinking
"I don't have time" is the most expensive sentence you can tell yourself. Writing a regular newsletter clarifies your thinking about your business and tunes you into your community. You don't find the time—you write yourself into existence.
"But Bernie, I don't have enough time to write a weekly email newsletter to the five hundred or a thousand people on my list I never email."
Every project I have ever turned up to, everything becomes a podcast or an email newsletter for me. And when you do something on a regular basis, whether it is washing up, sending an email newsletter, going for a run, it just gets easier and easier.
When you commit to writing a regular email newsletter, you will walk around your community or your coworking space and you will automatically find things to write about, things to talk about.
I promise you: sitting down to write a regular newsletter will clarify your thinking about your business, your project, and it will make you more in tune with the people in your community, the participants in your neighbourhood, whatever you are doing.
Look for the space you can find every week to just start writing. You can write yourself into existence.
That is my argument. When you write a little bit every week, that is how you tell your story. You are putting a little bit on the plot every week and writing your community into existence.
The way this works is a little bit and then everything at once, I've made over two hundred little videos like the one you're watching today and sent the same amount of emails.
It has helped me clarify my thinking, build a workflow, and more people who don't know me have hired me as a result of watching these videos than anything else I've ever done.
