‘Can you endorse me?’ #LinkedIn - What do you do?

Every so often I get a message in my LinkedIn inbox that that says ‘Can you endorse me?’ – My reaction is often that a little bit of me dies inside, you have spoilt the moment for me.I asked for recommendations at one point and I called or emailed everyone personally it was very important to me to do it that way. If someone calls me up and asks for help, explains the context of what they want I am happy to help, in this way I find I can get an ‘authentic sweet spot’ that I can talk to others abo

#FindBritain I found Britain in Argentina

#FindBritain - what got me into this when I married Super Cool Wife five years ago. People from Argentina are SO proud of their food – really it is just meat, red wine with the occasional bit of salad. When they asked what do you eat in the UK..... um... At the time I was ‘over-consumed’ with the UK – mainly because I read shit newspapers every day, watched shit TV and drank shit beer in shit pubs. When I married into another culture it was not all plain sailing. Howe

How does the term 'Community' apply to YOU? Speak your mind here...

So there I was, sitting at the bar getting all excited about 'this community' when my conversation partner says - "you just made me think - it's not a community."   Exsqueeze me?I was so busy 'spilling my candy in the lobby' about community (honestly, if I could have picked up the phone and ordered a punch in the face for myself I would have) I was not really hearing the possibility in the project. To me it HAD to be community before it could function. Maybe it did not? It needed to move, evolve

“Showing up is 80% of how you Community-cate” #llbs

We say showing up is what counts these days, 17 zillion followers online? Great if you are Jay-Z, Barrack Obama (who) or Apple because that is appropriate to their relationship with their fans and customers. Our question is how do you communicate with your community? There is a very strong case to say that we live in an ‘engagement economy’ perhaps you might want to interpret this as ‘engage with someone and they will enter your economy.’ People that show up consistently in times

SME 2.0? Saving London from crap Social Media advice #llbs

SME? What is that mystical category of business that is ‘The SME’? It seems to range from Alan in his attic in Angel to Alan Sugar in his atrium in Canary Wharf.  Here at TAGtribe we have seen SME’s everywhere getting their knickers in a twist with that early 21st Century phenomena called Social Media; finally our souper hero mates Mitchell andSmallwood could tolerate it no more. The Enemy Done with watching people kamikaze themselves on facebook, ply the twitter world with

You two faced........! Why is that a good idea?

This Week we are featuring a guest post from each of our Late Late Breakfast Show  Speakers next up is Steve Trister!  Why being “Two Faced” is brilliant!  The art of being "Two Faced" in this instance does not take on the standard meaning of "speaking behind someone's back". In this case it's about tapping into the many facets we all have in our personality.  This is something that as an actor, it's critical for me to be aware of and a real eye opener. My love and passion is ch

Emma Thompson will not be at the Late Late Breakfast Show. However.....

This Week we are featuring a guest post from each of our Late Late Breakfast Show  Speakers next up is Malcolm Levene! The first time I met Emma Thompson I was running my retail fashion business. Emma T. was everything you might imagine, especially if you are a fan, like me. And although she was attired in very ordinary clothes, mussed up hair, and wearing a pair of well-worn sneakers, she looked great. In fact, she came across as someone who is unquestionably authentic. What we need, want and would like by Daniel Esparraguera

Everyone has a unique experience, their life and the story of it that is delivered in narrative. It is compelling stuff to hear and as people I believe we are attracted to narrative as a means of communication. When we hear a life delivered through narrative the information seems to almost arrive and be received in a different way, it is not just easier to understand, it is clearer as well.  As business people when we hear or see a successful individual communicating the
