I was looking over the list of people at #tweetcamp today and it occurred to me that every so often there is an event that brings all the "Dudes" together. Not the "ROCK STARS" – I'm mean please, what sort of ROCK STAR would be seen dead in an East End school on a Saturday? No, they are all having Bloody Mary's at Soho House or Adam St.
The Dudes, the #linchpins, The Meet Up people, the Evernote Users, the TEDx geeks – actually the last event I did that got all the "Dudes" in the room was TEDx Smithfield with one of my main "dudes" Julie Hall – this brought people from every corner of our time line.
Which made me think of this….
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
More later….
