Why is getting together with others who run a coworking space so important?

It's because you don't have much time for everything, including running the space, keeping members happy, and maintaining software and stuff like that.

You only get a little time to talk about what you're doing, where you're going, what's happening, and what you need help with.

And whatever you do in any industry, getting together with your peers and discussing what you do is really important.

It's fantastic for your soul.

It's fantastic for working out and for how you spend your time.

It's fantastic for ideas and problem-solving.

It's fantastic for new perspectives and knowledge sharing.

It's fantastic for support and motivation. Often, a leadership role feels isolated even when you are around people all day.

The next time you can have a fantastic meet-up is on April 16th at the London Coworking Assembly Breakfast Show.

Which is with Jon Alexander and Joyce Ogunade

We created this event specifically for coworking space owners, operators, and community managers keen on strengthening their ties with each other, their local economy, and their community.

We're keen on this conversation of moving from the consumer story and starting the citizenship story.

Joyce and Jon will lead an audience participation and Q&A about citizenship and coworking.

Head to London Coworking Assembly to get on the list for this and other in-person events for people who own, run or operate a coworking space.

But then when you give people an invitation like: "Would you like to come to my coworking space?" "I want you to come to my event!" "We're having a European Coworking D

What does "growth and scale" mean for your coworking business?

What do you mean by "growth and scale" when you talk about your business? I brought this up today because I was talking to someone about their coworking space and what they want to do with it. They said, "I want to grow and scale, of course!" After 15 minutes of conversation, I find out they don't want to scale. What they want is a sustainable business that makes them profit, doesn't kill them, and has a constant flow of new customers. There's a big difference between growth and scale and a

Should You Close or Keep Marketing Your Coworking Space Over the Holidays?

The Case for Taking a Holiday Break For coworking space operators in London, December is often a month of tough decisions. With the festive season in full swing, many wonder: “Should we shut down and take a break or keep pushing our marketing and communications to stay visible?” While closing and switching off for the holidays is tempting, there’s a compelling case for staying active — especially in a city where self-employed workers and freelancers rarely switch off entirely. Here’s a break
