I am so knee deep editing blog and podcast content that today’s #LLBS update is running behind.
I was thinking about the things that have inspired me and what the point of the whole shebang is, Bill Hicks has always made me think and there are more links to people below.
This is what popped in my head right now so I dived into Publicate to drag it out and share with you here.
Since I started spending more time on engagingpeople.wpengine.com I have noticed the people I really pay attention to in life and online are the people who share how they do things rather than “what I should be doing” these people include Brene Brown,Paul Jarvis, Jon Buscall through to companies like Buffer, Gimlet Media and CopyBlogger. Look out for the ‘what does it mean to be a Showrunner?’ below.
When I ran #TAGtribe the twitter bio was “Connections, collaborations & making ideas happen #TAGtribe Forum, mastermind groups & The Late Late Breakfast Show #LLBS Serial net-workers need not apply”
#TAGtribe set out to be a community where people helped each other out, in fact the core members still meet up to this day and do their own thing. This is waaayy better than any pay check or bullshit membership fee. I am convinced that when you create something, give it away and it keeps growing without you the magic is done.
That is why I like the idea of a community around a podcast rather than a ‘group’ – however if I had never been on the four year #TAGtribe journey I would not have learnt 3/4’s of what I have done about people, community and the internet.
Excuse me, Showrunner Bernie? This is the description that resonates with me the most at this moment in time. (As I sit here joyfully and enthusiastically hacking my keyboard beating out blog and podcast content for you!) Enjoy:
