How do you create connections between people in your coworking space without being a bit creepy?

I say creepy because there's a difference between customer acquisition and me joining your coworking space.

You'd be mad not to use technology to help you do things, but if you do it in a very processed, automated way, it feels like people are part of a system rather than a community.

And the way to do it is to commit to listening to people and what they're interested in.

This week, I talked to experienced community managers [Sarah Adefehinti](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAACal2ooB%5FHO2AaU5elA7TukOwqGjPLvcEc8?ref=berniejmitchell.com) and [Eva Sanz Sanz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAB0zYvsBM%5F8tnqnZZQhVd-0XTTKNOFFqJqA?ref=berniejmitchell.com) for the [Coworking Values Podcast](https://www.linkedin.com/company/coworking-values-podcast/?ref=berniejmitchell.com).

Both made solid points about paying attention to the people in the community and listening to where you can create those connections.

So, it's always human-centred, hands-on, attentive to people, and hospitable.

Use technology to spend more time with people, not to automate and dehumanise them.
